Project Details:
Minimizing environmental impact and maintaining a neutral carbon footprint was the concept of this facility. A total of 66,000 Sq.Ft.
was constructed to contain executive offices, a world class training center, and a showcase of some of Schluter’s most innovative designs
and products.
Dahltan’s involvement commenced prior to hiring any engineers, architects or other professionals and was the coordinator
of a construction project unlike any other in Montreal.
This LEED® Gold building boasts a variety of the most technologically advanced energy conservation systems available and pushes the
envelope for the future of construction.
Some of the building's features include but are not limited to: indoor and outdoor rainwater retention and
recycling systems, rooftop solar panels, GPS controlled skylights, solar-reflecting white roof, solar wall, a fresh air
in-take system "Canadian Tunnel", advanced HVAC recovery systems, vegetation wall and natural humidification source, radiant flooring and geothermal
heating and cooling.
Also, indigenous vegetation has been planted on site to provide natural green spaces and minimize maintenance and water
requirements.
